I just had some work done recently and my check engine light wont come on. Is there something that might have come unplugged or needing to be rest. The reason I know this is because I have a misfire in a cylinder.

What year vehicle?   If it is 96 or newer, major parts houses (Autozone-Pep Boys- Advance) will read the codes for free.  Post back the EXACT code number and we can help you on the repair.

Be careful replacing the plug.  These are bad about breaking off in the head.  Does the chweck engine light come on when the key is just turned to the "on" position?  If not, check fuses and the cigar lighter.  I think they are on the same fuse.  If it is OK, the bulb is probably blown.
