Can someone tell me how to change out my heater core on my 2001 Ranger XLT?

You can buy the FORD Ranger repair manual from Haynes. I have this book and I looked at what it takes to change the heater Core. Drain coolant, Disarm Air bags, Remove Instrument panel and then the heater core. If you take it in to a shop, it should cost about $300.00 to $350.00 to have it changed. Most of the money is in the labor. The core should have lasted longer then 7 years, but it could be a break at the soilder joint were the hose nipple connects to the core itself.
