Hey,

I upgraded from my 90 Taurus wagon to an 07 Taurus sedan a couple months ago.  Today when I jacked the front end up to do some pre-winter undercoating, I noticed that the front door catches and is very hard to open.  I let the car down and jacked up the other side with the same results.  Both doors open fine when the car isn''t jacked.

I''ve jacked the car up before but never had reason to open a front door.  So I tried the same thing on my 90 Taurusthe passenger side door hangs up but the driver''s door doesn''t.

Anyone else have a newer Taurus and notice their front doors catching when the front is jacked up??  The notch where the jack goes is right under the front door hinges so I wonder if it tweeks the body enough that you have to lift up on the door to open it.

Yes, it''s a unibody so the body will flex when jacked up as the weight shifts.  Depending on the door gap, some may bind, some may not.  This is normal.

Thanks for the confirmation.  That''s what I thinking but just wanted some reassurance that other Tauruses were the same and I didn''t have a problem.
