Just purchased a 1999 Contour. The fan for AC/Heater will only work in the high position. Cant hear anything or feel any air movement at the lower settings. Any ideas?

That would be one of two things. Most likley is the resistor went bad. It might be the switch, but that is not all that likley.

How hard is the resistor to replace if this is the problem? My '99 contour air conditioner/heater soing the same thing yesterday while driving to work. However I can get a little breeze on low not much but a little.

Hmmm 2 year old question... I am also wondering how hard it is to replace the resistor? Anyone who knows how to do it? I have a 98 Contour with all fan speeds working except 3rd. A bit annoying, so I wonder how to fix it.
