Yea sure sign its going . try turning the idle up a tad .. Another quick test its going bad , try this , Hold it to the floor Wide Open fre a couple of seconds only ,, Let of the fuell if it dies out shes bad .. You might try getting some Marvel Mystery Oil an pulling the filter replace it. On the new filter fill it with the MMO , an install the filter an try running it -- AN NO IT WONT SMOKE !!

2003 [8|] kinda new for that don't ya think? I think something maybe triggering fuel shutoff soleniod.

Best thing to do is get it scanned for codes that should tell ya whats shuting down.[:)]

so should i wait untill the check engine light comes on to get it scanned?

No, a lot of problems don't set the engine light. Scaning the truck while it running and check sensor inputs and watching outputs may help find your problem.

Being that new with OBII should have a code history in it which sometimes stores codes with out the light coming on. If the lights stays on when you start it bckup then id get scanned right away while light is still on.

when mine did this it was the cam position sensor which i replaced plug it in one bolt easy fix but you will need to have a shop with a computer to plug it in and make sure this is what it really is

sounds good thats what i thought it was because my truck has 85,000 miles on it
