thank's, Carl's JR is a burger joint. I am trying to remember my east coast days. There was a chain called HArdy's(I think that is how you spell it) they are the same company. Unfortunatly for a stock amp, the dealer is the only place. We can't even get them and we make them. Laws and all. They have exclusive rights

wow. thats expensive, but always is through the dealer. I know people talk crap about the stock infinity systems, but I think they are great. I had one in the ram I had. and the sound is nice. The people who bitch about the systems are expecting professional sound system that you get at the shows that blow your eardrums out. But, if you are looking to upgrade to be a loud ass system, the best bet is not to get the premium stereos and go all aftermarket. for the average joe who just wants soemthing that sounds good then the OEM premier systems are good. And I know they are good, I test to the specs and if they don't pass they get re-engineered. And if these systems pass the tests we put them through, then I know they will last for the average use.

a friend of mine had a sunfire competition stereo car, and the class that he was in was a "Stock HU class"...so when he turned in his lease sunfire, he took the system out, and his new car is all go and no show, and his GF refused to have it in her car, so he gave me 2 12s and on 3000w amp...he built the box to the exact size that MTX suggested for his amp and subs, etc. i have the bass and gain set about half power, and with my eq on the stock hu set to half, it booms better than some 4-12 systems that i have heard...so im pleased with it...guys at DF poke fun at me for running a stock HU and mids/highs, and how it must sound terrible, but amanda will testify that it doesnt.

yeah, a couple of those guys over there would piss me off. Talking smack about other peoples set up because "That is not what they would use". And how they were so smart because they worked with it. Hey if you like the way it sounds. Then it is good enough. I just press JBL and Infinity aftermarket stuff so the company stock goes up hehehe
