I just bought a 1997 Ford Escort. Had not been cranked in 2 years, it was running perfect when it was parked. Replaced Fuel Pump, all Spark Plugs, and Fuel Filter. Cranked right up. Problem is: The check engine light is on, and when you take a curve going right it dies, but it cranks right back up. Any suggestions, before I keep putting more money into it?

Not that this is the problem, but you should definately change the oil and oil filter as well. quote:
Please tell me the fuel aint 2 yrs old ????????????? hahaha. holy crap, if it is that old, best bet is to get a gas can, go up and get some new gas. Get home, drain the gas tank and refill with the new stuff.
