i have checked the fuses, and it has the inertia switch that it not poped when the problem is present. i wonder if it could be the switch and if so how i would check that when the it happens periodically?ill assume check it when the pump will not engage?

i started meesing with the ranger the other day and got it running.shut the truck off and it would not start.i go and borrow some jack stands so i could put it up and drop the tank to check pump again!!.well, well,it starts right up again.played that game for a wile.finally got it to where it wouldnt die so i take it for a ride.6 miles up the road it DIES.sat there for an hour thinking in circles,i look over to the passenger floor and see the inertia switch wires and say the hell with it and cut them.wired it together and turned the key.it fired right up and havent had a problem since!
