OK So, I walk into the local ford dealer and look at the superduty. Along comes sales guy,he says it's best thing since sliced bread. So we go back/forth awhile and he says "It doesn't matter anyway. Because people are just gonna buy what their DAD bought".Now,this was two years ago, but It still bothers me is this true?Or can we not make our own informed decisions?????

yep, I can. When it is time for me to get a new vehicle, I do research. What it comes down to is a good price for a good vehicle, and also what looks good at for that year. I have had Ford's a chevy dodges and nissan. It all comes down to what appelas to me that year of release.

I will buy anything as long as it doesnt have a foreign nameplate.

In my experinces, foreign vehicles (japanese trucks in particular) just dont have the beef needed to stand up to what I put them through.

later,
Dustin

My Dad is a Ford guy, (why I'm here at this forum) except his love for Corvette's. But I like Dodges, Chryslers and Jeeps.

My dad raised me in a Ford home. They are pretty much all we owned until '99 when my parent's bought a Suburban. Since then they've spent almost half the sticker price keeping it on the road. Meanwhile my old 250's still running strong at 230k. In short, yes, I buy what my dad bought. But at least I have experiance to base it on.

Girl here...

My Granddaddy, who raised me, (and I was his favorite [as should be] of four kids and 13 grandkids) was Chevy all the way, his second son. ...Uncle Floyd has been Ford from the get-go.

I got in contact with my natural dad at a late age...just to find he was driving the EXACT vehicle as me...down to the colors! Whow....

I had a Ford as my first (ya always remember your first...heh), had Chevy's. GMC's, Toy's, Honda's, blah blah...since....

I have loved them all...just like my men...

BUT.....

GIVE ME A FORD OR COUNT ME DISSAPPOINTED....
