Does anyone know how I can get around this problem. My 98 3.0 2wd has a blocked up main cat because the driver.s side cat rusted and broke up and of course everything went downstream. The main cat can be cleaned out but the problem is replacing the Y pipe that contains the two smaller converters for a quoted part price of $800. Can I cut out the bad boy and get a replacement converter to weld in or do I have to straight job it? Any advice would be appreciated.
