I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and the CD Player will not eject the cds. It also will not play the cds that are in it. It was working fine until I tried to eject a cd, after that nothing worked on the cd player. When I try to eject or play a cd I get an error message and nothing happens. I suspect that a cd is stuck trying to eject and that is the cause of my problems. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate hearing them. Also if you agree that I have a stuck CD, how do I get it out ?

Thanks,

Flydog

Yea i have had that exact same problem before....i could fix it quite easily because im pretty darn good with car audio and electronics....what the problem is, is that the trays that hold the discs get thrown off a rod causing it to jam...so what u have to do is pop out your whole cd player and take it apart which really is just un screwing stuff and then put the trays back on track and then it will work perfectly again.

Flydog, I also have the same problem. In my case it only happens with non-commercial, "burned" disks. In some cases, turning the ignition on/off while powering up the CD unit has caused the stuck CD to eject. I have also found that lightly pushing a CD into the loading slot (with the unit on) has caused the stuck CD to eject, as well. Very annoying problem for me, since most of my music collection is on burned CDs. Good luck.
