stock 390 it however has a rebuilt/reman carb that doesn't look right can anybody tell me where to find the tag with the #'s on it to see if its the right carb?

Some carbs had the tag on the very top front side of the carb. attached with a screw. Other ID codes were stamped on the left front mounting flange. I have an ID code identifier, but nearly noone does - therefore the codes are nearly undecipherable. The tag is the fast way to ID it unless it tore off or was stupidly removed during rebuilding.
