3.8L recently developed a front cover gasket coolant leak at 54,000 mi. There's a service bulletin (99-20-7) out on this gasket so it seems to be a known problem. Ford is no help. Is it worth fixing? My mechanic is afraid of future engine failure and is not high on doing the repair. Any suggestions?
