2000 Crown Victoria starts well cold - starts well hot when turned off and immediately restarted. However, when it is hot and has been shut off for about 30 minutes to an hour, it is hard to start and I have to turn it over several times before it will start. Doesn't matter if you try with accellerator up, down, or in between. No trouble light has appeared on the dash. This is the only problem with the car. It runs great after it starts. It seems as if the fuel is draining back to the tank and it takes a while to get it back up but this doesn't seem possible because it starts well when the engine is cold, even when it has been parked overnight. Any ideas would be appreciated.

No promise here, but I remember a fairly recent tsb put out by Ford dealing with gasoline volatility between summer/winter blends. It said to try going up a grade in gasoline. In the fuel rail after a hot soak, the fuel is vaporizing in the fuel rail causing a long hot crank. The higher octane gasoline will vaporize less therefore keeping a liquid fuel supply in the fuel system.

May or may not be your issue as I just took a glancing look at the publication some time ago when it first came out.

Thanks frdtek I'll try your suggestion. It'll be much cheaper than replacing parts.
