Is anyone having problems with putting gas in their Escape? Mine always acts like it is full. The hose shuts off like It is full but it happens when I am just getting started. It does finally stop doing that but in the beginning it is really annoying.

There have been problems in earlier models with filler neck assemblies. The same valve that stops crooks from siphoning your fuel can cause trouble for you in filling it up. If you have troubles gassing up, take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it. If you're still under warranty it will be a free fix. If not, they may charge you for replacement of the fuel filler neck or the tank itself,

My Escape goes into the shop tomorrow. I will let everyone know what they decide to do on the gas tank.

We took the escape in (see Fox Nut's posting) and showed them the TSB on the problem with the filler neck. They just went ahead and ordered a new one under warranty. No questioned ask.

Here is the TSB on it.
