I have a 92 Explorer. The windshield washer fuild pump has stopped working . What could casue this?

Any number of things could cause it. First thing you'll want to do though is listen for the pump running when you push the button. If it runs, you better go catch it... nono just kidding. If it runs you've either got a blockage or a leak. If no there's no sound with the button pushed, get a voltmeter or testlight to see if you're getting voltage to the pump itself. If you have battery voltage, then more than likely it's a worn out pump motor.
