Hi my name is Llogan. I am new to the Ford forum and was just wandering if anybody owns the F-150? If so I was just wandering if anyone would mind providing some information about it. I was just wandering what model do you own. Does it seem to be holding out pretty good? Does it seem to be a good vehicle? Do you get lots of compliments on it? What is the gas mileage on the F-150 that you own? Does your vehicle have good passing power? What kind of features does your F-150 provide?

Hi Llogan, I have a 94 Flareside F150. It has a 302CID or 5.0 Liter and 4R70W automatic transmission. My truck is a Mark III conversion with leather and mahogany interior, power slider back window, alloy wheels and 60's wrapped all the way around the truck. I would have to say that the truck is more of a cruiser than a speed demon. It tops out at 107 MPH (at least that’s what the cop said I was doing). The gas mileage is at best around 17MPG. But then again it is a extended cab truck and I really think that the 302 might be a bit undersized for the weight of the vehicle. Keep in mind that the 302 only puts out about 225 horsepower from the factory. That being the only downside that I can think of, let me tell you about the really great things. To begin with, it is THE number one selling vehicle for more years running than any other in the world. They ride like they are on a cloud providing that you have kept good tires and shocks on them. They are very dependable and have a pretty good resale value because of that. My truck has 135,000 miles and has never had a wrench on the motor with the exception of a water pump gasket that went out after 110,000 miles. I have also had to replace the oxygen sensor because the check engine light came on at 120,000. I hope that your seeing the trend here...any issues I have had with my truck all came about after 100,000 miles. The picture that I have included is the truck at 87,000 miles and it has spent very few nights in a garage. I am building a 400 horsepower 302 that has been bored and stroked out to a 347 and I am hoping that it will really get down and move. Currently the truck is in the body shop getting some hail dents removed from this spring and a fresh coat of paint sprayed on it, plus a few customizing things to make it a little bit different than the other trucks out there. It has been a great vehicle, and I will be buying another one at some point in the future.

I also have included a link to another forum on this site that has pictures of my motor and some details on its assembly. Good luck and welcome to the club.

I own a 1995 F150 with the in-line 200 six cyl.. Other than I wish I had bought the V8 engine..I love it. I have spent a little over a thousand dollars on it since it was new. If I had not tried to fix it myself, maybe $400. Old mechanics don't die, they just forget who they are. Carl
