Hi my name is Llogan. I am new to the Ford forum and was just wandering if anybody owns the Excursion? If so I was just wandering if anyone would mind providing some information about it. I was just wandering what model do you own. Does it seem to be holding out pretty good. Does it seem to be a good vehicle. Do you get lots of compliments on it. What is the gas mileage on the Excursion that you own. What kind of features does your Excursion provide?

I had a problem with my Big E shutting down. It would be running fine, then all of a sudden it would just shut down. Had penty of juice, it cranked over like hell. But it would not start. The problem is with a Cam Sensor. That is what the service people told me. It shuts everything down. They replaced it and all went well. 30,000 miles. Then it happened again, went to the service shop and it has not happened since the second replacement. They had an upgrade on the cam sensor. Should tell you to let it sit for about 10 minutes then it should start and then drive it street speed to the shop if it is happening. I have had no problems with the upgraded sensor since. 126000 so far with my 2000 model.

long term vacation. Seattle to L.A. to Galveston. Then back via rocky mountain continental divide roads, some freeways some not, then through jelly stone park, then home. Averaged 19mpg. kept very good records on fuel stops. We were fully loaded, two kids me and the boss, plus grandma! Also a huge pac-a-sport top box. No problems great trip.... Options? The limited came with pretty much everything, two C D players, leather, heated everything, etc.etc.etc. City driving in the N.W. 14.5-15.5 Overall average by the computer overhead, is 16.3 mpg.. It took a while for it to get that high. the more miles, the more info it gets. I've been very happy with my diesel. I then bought a diesel Jetta to comute with. With speed limit 45-60mph 51mpg. Happy camper even if diesel is sometimes higher than premium at times. Hope that helps.

Hey Dragon, did you spend any time in MT during your vacation, and if you did, how far north did you go? the bitteroot valley would be my stomping grounds.

I hear Chevy people say that they would rather push a Chevy than drive a Ford. When I think about it, this is the best reason to get a Chevy. It's like a private gym!!!
