Hi my name is Llogan. I am new to the Ford forum and was just wandering if anybody owns the Taurus? If so I was just wandering if anyone would mind providing some information about it. I was just wandering what model do you own. Does it seem to be holding out pretty good. Does it seem to be a good vehicle. Do you get lots of compliments on it. What is the gas mileage on the Taurus that you own. What kind of features does your Taurus provide?

I have a 2001 Taurus SES. I've put about 40,000 miles on it in just over a year and it has been a very trouble-free vehicle. I know all about the Taurus, I am a member of the Taurus Car Club of America and we are all Taurus dorks. ;) The 2000+ models are, by far, the best as far as reliability and the least problematic. The 2004's and up are the most recent update to the Taurus, the most major being a trip computer that provides estimated fuel economy, digital warnings/indicators and many other things.

The features included in my Taurus are: Power Adjustable Pedals, Leather Seating, Power Adjustable Driver seat, Heated Mirrors, Mach Audio, Traction Control, ABS, Floor Shifter Package, can't remember the rest, lol. If you have any questions about the Taurus, feel free to ask me, or visit the Taurus Car Club and join our forums. http://www.taurusclub.com/

Hi There. I would like to know if anyone has a problem with their check engine light staying on? I recently had my 2001 inspected and I was told that the gas cap was not holding a seal. I had to buy the gas cap in order for the car to pass inspection. The light was off for just a day or two and is now back on and will not go off. Please give me some suggestions on what I should do without spending a fortune.

Thanks
Laurie

I have a 2000 Tarus (FFV engine) with 76,000 miles and have owned it since it had 14,000 on the odometer. I have recently had to install a new fuel pump ($600 for parts, towing and labor) and am plagued with leaking antifreeze and idling issues.
