Hi. I've had a '66 Mustang in storage for the last three years, did everything I could possiblly think of to prep it correctly and put it away. However, I'm getting ready to relocate cross-country and I spent this past weekend "resurrecting" it so I can trailer it for the journey. All the fluids and filters have been changed, new battery installed, even put in new plugs, wires, cap & rotor for good measure. However, I can't get her to run. My first thought was that the gas tank had a wee-bit of stale gas in it, and when combined with 40 years of sediment, probably plugged up the fuel pump. (Note: I did add five gallons of fresh gas & a little bit of fuel stabilizer before trying to start it). I'm almost sure this is the problem, as I can prime the carburetor with a little fuel and she'll run for a few seconds. Does it sound like I'm heading in the right direction? I'd hate to drop the tank and replace it & the fuel pump only to find it's not the problem... Thanks for any replies. Cougar Vibe
