I have a 2003 Ford F350 with the new 6.0L powerstroke diesel engine. the best fuel milage I'm able to get is about 13.8 MPG as mesured at the overhead fuel computer. Other ford truck owners have told me at the gas station that something is wrong as they are reporting high teens to low 20s MPG, and that I should be getting better than that, and that. Folks with the 7.3L powerstroke interestingly have reported much better fuel economy as well. I can't understan how the last generation of international engines are better? Does anyone have any ideas what I can do besides trading it in on a Dodge with the Cummins? The dealer Future Ford in Roseville Ca have actuallly told me that I'm lucky to get 12MPG, and that I have nothing to complain about. Best regards, Terry

Hi, What gears do you have and how do you use it? I have 4.10 limited slip in mine and I get 15-16 mpg with it. Still not as good as when it was new and it had tire smoking from a 5 mph roll and got 17-17.8 mpg. But once the dealer reprogramed my computer, the joy of it was gone. The truck is an early 2003 and at first didn't have that good for nothing not even a 100 mph speed limiter. (what, they think I want to take all year to go someplace?) I do wish Ford would pull their heads out and offer a limited slip 3.55. Mine is a Supercab, 8 ft box duelly, rwd only. (a 4wd style would get me in trouble off roading!)
