I have a 2001 Ford Escape, and the screen in the CD player has gone out. I REALLY want to get a new stereo, but I want to buy one that fits the ENTIRE space were the player sits. I think it is a Double Din player, but I am not sure. Any suggestions on what stereo to buy? I also hope to get a stereo that doesn't need a special mounting bracket.

they also sell adaptors that fill the space and make an opening that accepts a standard head unit.

I hear Chevy people say that they would rather push a Chevy than drive a Ford. When I think about it, this is the best reason to get a Chevy. It's like a private gym!!!
