I guess I was young and dumb... but a cold one every few hours wont hurt. Its those guys that get hammered and think they are invincible that scare me!

I had a gas car. Sold it when I got into construction. I get sick at the gas station from the fumes. Yet I don't mind the fuel covered diesel  pumps. use it as Cologne.  If  I had the choice should have gone diesel a long time ago. Up keep is probable higher than a gas truck.

i think the the truck you need depends on where you live and how you work it. if its flat and you don't haul loads alot get a gas pick up but if you want a truck for long trips and hauling lots of large loads you want a diesel pick up but stay with a ford power stroke. now if you want to high prefomance a truck and have the fastest most powerfull beast on the road you want a diesel. so i'm doing fine with my gaser and it has all the power i need and pulls any load i put behind it, it was also alot cheaper then buying a new diesel and just the same when it comes to driving a new truck its still new.

I hate to beat on any Ford on this forum, but you should avoid the 6.0 powerstroke like the plague, opt for older 7.3 as they will last much longer, and this is the main point for buying a diesel anyway.  If you want a truck to take you to 500,00 miles then go for the Cummins diesel.  You will also spend less on regular maintenance on diesel than gas.  Oh yeah have you been around any of the newer diesels?  Their exhaust emmisions really are not that bad.
