The Aspire is a subcompact car that was sold by the Ford Motor Company in the United States from 1994 model year until the 1997 model year. During its production the Aspire was available as a hatchback with either three or five doors. The body of the Aspire was made by Kia Motors in South Korea and Mazda of Japan contributed to the engine and its components. The Ford Aspire was also sold as the Kia Avella in Asia and the
Ford Festiva in Japan and Australia and it did well in every market that it was sold in.
The Ford Aspire is known for its durability and lack of mechanical breakdown. Aside from a few issues with defective fuel doors and gaskets, the Aspire has been free of technical and mechanical problems and are known to run well over 200,000 miles without anything other than your standard vehicle maintenance. While the production of the Aspire stopped in 1997, the fuel economy of the vehicle would be appreciated today, as it was known to get as much as 30 miles to the gallon. The Aspire was equipped with a small four-cylinder engine that was just powerful enough for this subcompact car.
