Replace dented doors with custom sheet metal doors?
Hey guys! My f-150 is currently running with 2 badly dented doors after a minor accident that happened recently. I am thinking whether I should custom build sheet metal doors to replace them. To get an idea, I contacted a sheet metal fabrication company nearby, but they don't provide services for automotive purpose. I guess they deal with some different category of sheet metal. So what kind of metal should be used for a car door? What else should I understand before doing this? Any ideas or suggestions?

Welcome to the site..
'Custom' or hand made/built doors? Why? Or, why would you need to? |
No. Not built by myself. I will give an idea and someone who knows what they are doing will make it. I would like a personalized look on the door. In fact I have a plan to make an overall appearance change, but that'll take time. When talking about personalization, I want something more than just colors. I will share something I found on the Internet: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...1af686dba7.jpg This is not the design I have in my mind, but you get the point I guess.

Got it..
Those interior panels look to be fiberglass or similar. |
