Fiesta Zs Mk6 help - loss of power

Hi,

I own a 2007 fiesta mk6 zetec s 1.6 diesel, admittedly I don't know lots about cars as only been driving a short while and I need some help.

Took my car for an MOT Saturday and it failed so took it to the garage for repairs, it needed new new handbrake cables and a new exhaust as mine was blowing.

Since the repairs (around 2-3 days) I have noticed a loss of power in the engine compared to before (slightly more sluggish from start and also slightly slower when going from say 40-70mph.

I took the car back in today as the exhaust was knocking slightly (they have fixed the issue today) however I am wondering if this is a simple case of the exhaust needs bedding in slightly or something worse? Thanks

Can you tell us what kind of routine maintenance has been done and mileage then and now ?

Hi, not a lot to be honest but as far as I am aware nothing is needed, I serviced the car last month and changed oil to shell oil.
Replaced the temperature housing unit around 4 months ago. Car is on about 95k. May have missed something but there the only big things that have been done. Cheers.

My bad think I missed your point, service done about 1k miles ago.

Temperature housing unit done about 5k ago and MOT done last weekend. Hope this helps.
