2015 Explorer Speakers Flat

Just purchased 2015 Explorer XLT with 200a accessory package. Not happy with the quality of the speaker system. Last Ford (2007 Freestyle) was much better. These sound flat. I prefer EQ settings with Treble 100%, Middle at 50%, and Bass at 75%. Even with EQ set to max treble, highs are flat. Can't hear high-hats / cymbals like before. Does anyone else agree? Is it the speakers or the Sound system? What options do I have (software upgrade, after-market speakers, equalizer?) Thanks!

Really? No one else? To clarify... after playing with it some more... The Sirius satellite radio sounds awful but that apparently is the way they transmit so after my free trial ends that is gone. The FM actually sounds better than my CD's and MP3 discs / USB files. Maybe the components treat digital sound differently than analog? Still, with the tweeters and the bass in different parts of the front door I'd think that the high frequencies would be much more pronounced than they are. Even with max treble I am missing the sharpness I am used to (like in a song with heavy tambourine or a nice acoustic guitar solo.) Bass is OK so can I simply replace the tweeters??? Anyone have any thoughts???

The factory speakers are just Plain Ole' paper speakers. I normally go to Crutchfield to find replacement speakers for my vehicles. I replaced the 4 stock speakers in my Freestar with some Pioneer 4-way speakers. I also upgraded my factory 2004 AM/FM/Cassette/Non-MP3 Single CD player to a factory 2005 AM/FM/MP3 6-Disk CD player. Big difference all the way around for a Freestar without spending a ton of cash. To me Crutchfield is the place to shop for upgrades or to get ideas.
