Radio wiring harness for Explorer Sport ('98)

I have a question about the wiring harness for a '98 Explorer Sport's radio (it has a tape and CD player). One of the previous owners of this vehicle had someone install a satalite radio setup. I guess it was the first install that person had ever done, so they did a poor job. They ended up snipping the factory wiring harness off (too short). Now I own the car and want to get the stereo working properly. My question is this: would a wiring harness from a 1996 Explorer (4 door w/ rear seat controls like my sport) work with this radio in my '98 Sport? The '96 didn't have CD player- does that make a difference? If it will not work, where should I go to purchase a wiring harness for my Explorer?

Thanks for any and all help!
