Replace door speakers Contour -98?
 

I want to replace the doorspeakers in my -98 Contour. Do I have to remove the inner-doorpanel to access the speaker or is it possible to remove just the plastic speaker grill? I tried to remove the plastic grill but it felt like I was going to break something...

The door trim panel needs to be removed to get to the speaker/s..


Removal
All Vehicles
[ol][*]Remove the door latch release handle bezel.
[ol][*]Remove the screw cover.[/ol][*]Remove the screw.[/ol][*]Detach the bezel.
[ol][/ol][*]Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Vehicles with manual windows [*]Remove the window regulator handle.[*]Use a suitable piece of wire.
