CarCover after body shop

Hello all, i recently just got my car out of the body shop and before it went in i also had bought a car cover from CarsCover.com and was wondering if it will be ok to use the cover on the fresh paint? The cover is nice and soft but will it be wise to wait a lil bit longer before use of the car covre? thanks...

RE: CarCover after body shop

I would give it 2 weeks after the paint for the lower coats to breathe out. Maybe the body shop guys have their own opinions too? Give 'em a call. See what they say. Either way I'd also wait until I could lay some wax on (in case the covers threads would chance a scratch).

I think goinstrong has the right Idea, wait and let your paint breath for a couple of weeks or so, putting a good coat of wax will act as a buffer between the car cover and an expensive paint job.

Is that car cover you bought an expensive well lined type or a cheapo that has material that can harden and become abrasive much sooner than you might think?
