Clicking noice when A/C, heat or just the Fan in on

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT and noticed today that just turning the fan on and running regular cool air not even using the A/C or Heat I hear a clicking noise right underneath my driver door. I stopped in the parking lot and got out with the fan on and it sounds like it is coming from just above my front driver side tire. When I turn the air off, no clicking noise. Have not looked under the hood yet, but would I look to the far right somewhere. The clicking standing outside my driver side with the fan on is right above the back of my front tire high? Please help, Jacqueline from Ohio.
