63 Fairlane 500 with a chevy 350

Been looking at possibly buying this car. It's a 2 door. Got a fresh 350 in it with an auto tranny. Apparently it was fitted by cutting the fender wells a bit. Obviously far from original but worth having??? I like chevy engines but not sure I like the idea of having one in a classic ford. Just thought I'd see if there were any other thoughts or opinions on the car. Thanks

Here's a pic of the car. I think it has potential but again, with a 350 in it, I'm a little undecided.

I'd buy it and sell the garbage under the hood. Repower it with a Ford!

I'd have the body work in the rear tire area checked out. If it was done right move on to the fact that for $2500 you can get a complete IRS (mustang II) front suspension and remove the spring towers completely and take all the force from the stock suspension that is trying to push the front fenders toward each other. Much nicer ride, steering, and disc fronts. Sell the chevy and put a ford back in it. My 67 sportscoupe had a 200/ auto, I bought a rusted out ranchero for the running gear and it's great and fast. Good luck.
