Default Canadian Vin Decoding

I would really appreciate some help decoding data plates on several 1958 ford cars. I acquired them several years back and none are complete, but I am thinking of either creating one out the 4 or selling them off for parts for someone else's projects.

The issue I am having is the layout of the data plate and the vin number is different than any of the information I have been able to track down online. Here is an example of the information I retrieved from one that I am fairly sure is a 1958 Country Sedan. I wish I had taken pictures of the data plates instead of just writing it down, but if needed I can the next time I am at my in-laws, where the cars are stored.

Vin 479DK58 122796
Model 479D
Trim 7HB
Paint 8E

I am assuming the difference in the data plate layout is due to it them being Canadian Cars, but it could also be that I am missing something else completely

Thanks in advance for any help the community can provide.
