Default parts sources for 71 LTD convertible

I just acquired a 1971 LTD convertible and have discovered that finding a parts source for this car is near impossible. I guess it would be because it was only produced for two years and less than 10,000 were built. Making mine even harder to find parts for is that it is highly optioned to include climate control.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance, Andy

Default Parts

Well the one thing about JC Whitney is that they sell odds and ends, none of which are reproductions of stock originals. My intent is to keep this car as original as possible even though the model is extremely rare.

Hey Guy's! Have had this 71 Ford LTD convertible for over 2 years now and still have not had any luck finding a parts car or parts source. Just thought I would bring the subject up again in case someone has seen on in a yard or knows of a parts car in the KY area or a parts source.

Thanks, Andy

I have tried car-parts.com but their search engine does not list a convertible at all, probably because they were only built 2 years. I wish I had access to an interchange manual. Maybe the ones in a 2 door hard top would work but I can not tell.

I looked there and found one post about 71/72 convertibles. I emailed the guy in hopes that he will have what I need.

Thanks, Andy

Are you looking for specific parts or just anything? I would think that some Galaxie parts would interchange. Have you tried going to a salvage yard and having them put it out on the system? Many of them are connected to each other.

I need both rear quarter window manual regulators and possibly rear side panels if in decent condition.
