Hello everyone, name is Gilbert. I purchased a 63 Fairlane, it has a 260, maybe down the road that will change. Overall it's on good shape, been working to get it running. It had a bad ignition switch, now it turns over but does not fire up. Put reman carb, starter, starter solenoid, plugs and will be adding Pertronix ignitor this weekend. I may need to also check timing. I had an accident while hitching trailer to truck, basically my middle finger got caught between trailer and bumper, now I'm missing about 1/4 inch from finger. Lets say it's slowed me down a bit. Anyway, I'll be looking for help and suggestions when the time comes. Have a great weekend, I'll be wrenching most of it. That's my wife wrenching, she helped me with starter since I was down to one hand.

I was not sure I wanted to post this but if you're ever in a predicament, take a minute to analyze the situation and make a smart decision. I was in a rush and this is what happened. As bad as it looks, it was not very painful, what sucks more is that I cannot get as much done at the moment. @Hayapower, thanks for the recovery post and @Use Common Sense, I obviously did not.

Yep, have had a few close calls over the years (59 of em') from being in a hurry. Been lucky though.

As TOMMY BOY would say..."That'll leave a mark"...
