Slack in rocker arms?
 

Okay so I remember a while ago pulling off my valve covers and checking the rocker arms. I have never actually checked them so im not sure of the procedures but at least one, maybe two if I remember right, were able to be wiggled by hand and the rest were all tight. Is this an issue that I should go back and fix?

if they are adjustable yes but it seems to me that you might have couple of lifters that might be a little weak thus making the push rods move a little more than they should. just remember that there shouldn't be any play between the lifter the push rod and the rocker. and don't over tighten the adjustment because you could very well bend the push rod

so all the rockers should be tight at the exact same moment right? It doesnt matter what stage the engine is in?

the best way to adjust the rockers is do it while the engine is running that way you can see or watch the push rods moving or twisting and yo want stop tightening just when the push rod stops turning.

tighten till it stops rattling and then 1/4 turn. there is a way to adjust not running bring rocker all the way up and use feller gauge but you need to know the correct setting on your engine.

you can do it that way but it's better to do it with it running so that you don't have to use a feeler gauge and you can tell when to stop tightening the nut on top of the rocker arm
