I just bought a 67 Galaxie. The previous owner lost the title and is going to file for a new one, but I can't find the VIN plate on this car. I've looked on the firewall, checked the frame, starting to pull hair out! Any help would be great!

 

Try at the rear or front of the drivers door or right over or to the passenger side of the motor on the motor side of the firewall or on the top inner fender well. I'm sure '64 had metal tag and '74 had Decal VIN. I'm a little fuzzy on when they changed exactly. If it was a decal or metal tag removed you may be hard pressed to find an ID.

your vin should be on the dash, if not look on the drivers side at the top under neath the front fenderat the shock tower. look in on the drivers side front windownear the corner of the front glass.
