I want to buy a Smarty Trend (android head unit) for my C-MAX. Maybe someone has already bought a car radio like this Ford C-Max 2011-2014 Android Car Stereo Navigation In-Dash Head Unit ? I would like to hear an opinion. Thank you

 

I have been looking for 2 years to replace the head unit in my 2015 C-Max. Depending slightly on trim level, it is so-far futile to find a dash adapter for the C-Max. If you have a base trim level, there is one at CarID.com; just a note, though, even some base level trim packages have HVAC controls tied in with the radio, so you might get the head unit hooked up and the A/C won't work (it's a small price to pay). If you have the SEL, as I do, no way Jose' the Sync system controls everything; take it out and bam! nothing. Making an adapter would be the easy part; I'm an old sheet metal worker from way back; it's the controls that I can't get around. If you are serious, contact a vendor like Crutchfield, they explained it to me thoroughly and would be able to give recommendations. Happy Hunting!
