My 96 GL life story

I bought it new from dealer. Only 68K on it. Never been in a garage and only repainted the roof so far, but hood and trunk need it as getting sun burned with little white spots.

It has the V-6, 24 OHVC engine which is a winner IMHO. Takes off like a rocket. It will get 30 MPH easy downhill on a freeway at 55 MPH, normal long trip will do 26 average. Problems are/were; electrical system with false warning lights. codes say oxygen sensors. ABS comes on at times too. All go away in a week or so and come back in a month or less.

Water pump had the plastic vanes which fall off about 40K for me. Replaced and just fine.

Replaced brakes, belts. Will probably go 100k before tune up. Replaced steering wheel part to get tilt wheel option, tricky turn signal does not want to return often from a left turn?
Did shocks also. Being elderly and both crippled it is a painful chore to get in and out of, but as that is the only problem we will live with it. Going to drive it until we finished driving. Had a guy who drove his into the ground and begged me to sell him mine at a big price. No sale.

Sorry to read so many had problems that I did not.
