Vacuum line questions
2 Attachment(s)
I have 2 vacuum lines that are attached to nothing, which explains the car not running like it is suppose to. I have put pictures of the lines and where they are attached now, I am hoping someone can tell me where the other end is suppose to go.

Where do the other ends of those hoses end ?

Should be able to kind of see them in the pictures, the top picture is coming out of the intake manifold and the bottom picture goes straight down into something that I dont know the name or function of.

There are at least three ways you can handle this.
1. Take each one of the hoses and move it around to see how far it can go from where it is and you should see some tube where it reaches and connects to. 2. I' m pretty sure with a hose off the intake manifold you are getting a check engine light. Many auto stores will read the codes in the computer for no charge and that code will probably give you a clue where it goes because something isn't working. 3. Until you find the right place for the hose from the intake manifold , plug it with a pen/pencil/bolt. The car should run a little better without that huge vacuum leak. |
I tried to track down the place that they are suppose to plug in, after no luck with that I took a piece plastic tubing and just connected the two together. It is running better now. I am working on this car for my grandfather, he is taking it to a dealership for a 100,000 mile service, he can have them figure it out if he wants a better fix.
