2004 p71Charge/nocharge alternator problem
 
this car is driving me nuts.14.6 at alternator stud /13.2 at battery .All runnnig light dim then go real bright back to no charge (battery light comes on)Changed 3 alternators same problem .checked wiring from battery to Alternator.Every thing is clean and tight.Ihave heard that some of these have a wiring problem some were near the rad support???? This is my 4th crown vic p71 .first pain in the but

FIXED IT MYSELF .Green wire that goes to the regulator top of alternator was broken some were between alternator and computer.Couldnt find were with out riping the wire haness apart so i just install a new green wire .
