03' E-350 trans slip 1st to 2nd.

Hello, I'm Joe... New guy.

I have an issue. My van is a 2003 E-350, 2wd, lifted with 33" tires and when o.d. is on it will usually always slip from first to second right at 30 mph if i am excelerating normal. (maybe more of a hesitation than a slip) If my foot is in it sometimes it wont. If o.d. is off it wont slip at all. While the trans is cold and o.d. is on it won't slip even driving normal. (weird) I had it serviced and the filter and fluid looked good. I'm wondering if the tire size is affecting it, I don't remember if it did it stock, probably not. It has 125 k miles. Seems like when the trans pressure is low and rpm's are low is when is does it.

Is anyone familiar with this? Any help would be appreciated.

Joe

You could have more than one problem, but since it seems speed related , it might be a good idea to check out the speed sensor and connections.

Thanks hanky I will. The weird thing is though even going slow with o.d. off it shifts good. Basically to avoid damage while I figure it out I am driving with o.d. off around town and when I approach 50 mph I turn it on.
