1999 e150 4.2 V6 list of problems
 

Hi, I recently bought the van and drove four hours home with no hiccups. Although, it being 99, there are some problems that need addressing. I don’t expect a single person to answer all of my questions.

1. I recently replaced the radiator and filled up coolant. I haven’t bled it yet but was wondering if it’s still would work if the heater doesn’t work. (Stupid question I know, just want some clarification) if anyone can give me a step by step on how to do it I’d appreciate it. YouTube doesn’t show me a result.

2. I have three CEL codes. All are lean codes and they are: p0174(cylinder bank 2), p0401, and p0171. What are steps I must do to correct it? Can I still drive it with those codes on without any consequences? (It will be my work van)

3. my code reader also told me to repair my o2 sensor wiring. Is that even something I have to look into? How many o2 I have? Google told me 2 or 4 so I don’t know which to believe.

When you say the heater doesn't work,
does that mean it only blows cool air or the blower doesn't work at all?
