I want to purchase a 2008, regular length, diesel, 12 passenger Ford Van. Only catch is I want high back bench seats for obvios safety reasons. Ford offers an option for high back bench seats on 5.4 liter vans through a company called transglobal. But they do not "seem" to offer ANY high back seating for the diesel passenger van. I have called transglobal, they advised Ford does not allow them to put in the high bench seatsin thedeisel due to the increase weight of the diesel vans.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to get safety rated high back bench seats in a 2008 diesel.
