2012 E350 cruise control “on” lamp replacement
Good day all,
i have a 2012 E350. The cruise control system has two instrument panel lights —one to indicate system is on, and a second one to indicate when system is engaged. The “ on” lamp has burned out. Anyone had to replace this? How is it done? Difficult? guidance will be appreciated! thank you! |
Some vehicles required a lot of removing dash covering to get to the lamps. Most were pull off retainers, but if careless, you could break some of them.Small socket set very helpful, (1/4 in drive)
If you did this type work everyday ,no real problem, but if not, either write down each step of when you removed what part or take pictures so you can reinstall the parts in the same order as removed. . This is not a project for someone without a lot of patience. |
Thanks for the head’s up! I have the vehicle down for a couple weeks so i have the time. From your post and what i have found on Youtube, this seems to be a task that will indeed require patience!

You can do it, just go slow , and don't be afraid to pull the dash away . Start at the bottom , pass side. Once you feel and see what is holding it , you can do the others.
You may need to remove the glove box, maybe not. Check under the dash or any small bolts holding the bottom in place. |
Thanks, hanky!
by the way…the issue of the ABS warning light, TCS warning light, and stability control warning light…turned out to be a bad ABS modulator. |
Thank you for the update.
