92 econoline e-250 superslow fueling.
Howdy.
I've got a 1992 Econoline e-250. I recently started having problems fueling. The gas pump cuts off at the slightest bit of pressure. I've tried moving it around, pulling it out most of the way. turning it upside down. I've checked both the filler hose and the pressure relief hose for clogs. I also tried putting my finger in the tank with the filler hose off and couldn't feel anything. My research online leads me to think it's the "pressure relief valve" where the relief hose meets the gas tank, however, I can't find the part by this name for my vehicle... I've also read something about a carbon casing and other things that I'm not sure if they relate to my year and model. I'd really appreciate help nailing this down, because I went to Napa, and they had no clue what I was talking about (and neither did I). Thanks! |
Did you check the smaller vent hose that runs alongside the filler hose?

i blew through it on both ends, into the tank, and out. I also visually inspected it, seeing that it is completely clear
