Cable in van?
Hello everyone, I own a 1999 conversion E150 and it has a television cable line in it, I hooked it up to a T.V. that I recently put in and it doesn't work, is it possible to still get any kind of cable in my van without getting a satellite dish?

What result are you getting at this time? Not taking anything for granted, where is the incoming signal for the cable coming from?
|
Well there is a cable wire that runs into the wall and seems to be connected to an antenna outside on the window, when i connect the cable to the t.v. it says "searching for signal" but nothing happens.

You lost me with the first sentence. What wall, where, and if you don't have a direct connection to a cable network, then you need to get in touch with a satellite co and get hooked up to a dish and satellite box.
Don't forget everything has now been switched to digital systems and the good ole tv and its antenna need a special converter box. If I recall they sold for under $50.00 |
When I say wall I mean the area under the window behind the driver's seat, it is where the speakers are and it has a removable panel on it and that's where the cable line is located. I have hooked a converter box up to it and it still says searching for signal.

At this point , I would suggest that you contact your cable provider . If you have more than one tv connected to the cable you might need to reprogram a few things.
