When I have the A/C or Heater on, I have intermitant loud clicking sound coming out in the front of the motor or in the motor compartment. I shut off the A/C or Heater and the clicking immeadiately stops. What is it and how do I replace it?

I'm haveing the same problem with my van only difference is its a 97', were you able to find out the problem?

 

Hi, are you guys talking about the clicking noise of the A/C compressor clutch engaging? It is normal to hear a clicking noisewhen the A/C or the defrost or defost/floor position is selected.
