Recently bought a 2006 E250, CEL went on. went to check it, no power. went fuse 23, cigar lighter the LB/W lead was missing in the fuse box and harness. Checked my 1997&2001 E150s the wire distribution in the connector was not the same nor did it match anything I could find online. Even the wire colors were not consistent. Is there another way to access diagnostic information? It's hard to imagine someone would go to such lengths to disable this link.

 

We never know why certain things are done. Maybe the former owner didn't want anyone to smoke in the vehicle, only a thought.
Manufacturers make production changes even in mid year and there are times when vehicles and wiring diagrams just don't match. When this happens it may require the old hard way of physically tracing a wire to see where it goes. This apparently is fairly common and I say this because we see so many harnesses opened up attempting to trace the path of a wire. Good practice requires reinstalling and securing the harness when done, but it doesn't always get done.

 

Fuse #26-20amp in the CJB is DLC protection..

Is the LB/WH still on the back of the DLC?

 

Many Thanks to Hayapower!!!. Hit the nail on the head. Fuse 26 was bad, power to lighter, Yes LB/W wire still connected, will check DLC in am. Thought I checked them all obviously missed one. Thanks to all Ford Forum!! Your all the BEST Bob
