fuel economy 1994 E-150 5.0 4speed overdrive
 

Does anyone know if it's possible that a 94 E-150 cargo van with 5.0L and 4-speed automatic with overdrive is capable of 20mpg highway mileage????

I'm considering purchasing and am skeptical of current owner's claims. Sounds high to me. Would appreciate any knowledgable comments. Thanks.:D

Have maintained many of that year and engine.
It may be possible if always empty and all downhill.
Haven't seen one yet that could do that, but there is always a first time.

My 1993 Winnebago conversion with the 5.0 and AOD with 149,000 miles on it will get 15 mpg freeway driving when I drive it and 17 mpg when my wife drives it under the same conditions but it has never got 20 mpg so that might be a stretch.
